The legend of Argonauts belongs to the most ancient Greek myths and anticipates the origin of the Olympic tradition. The story depicts the quest of Jason and his brave companions for the Golden Fleece to the distant Colchis. During their journey, the Argonauts meet the female inhabitants at the island of Lemnos, defeat the king Amykos, liberate the blind Phineus from the curse of harpies and go through many other adventures before Jason finally meets Medea who helps him to get the Golden Fleece.
